MJ comes from stellar frontline FM stock. Her mother was a cleaning contracts manager, and her father was a plumber and school caretaker. MJ has a breadth of experience in the industry, working as a cleaning operative, operations manager, and sales director for major FM companies. Her ethos is to look after her team, reduce the use of harsh, unnecessary chemicals, and only partner with clients who share her values.

Holly’s 15-year career in the FM sector has seen her win and mobilise some of the biggest FM contracts in the industry. She held roles in business development, innovation, and digital transformation at ISS, Balfour Beatty, and ENGIE. Holly shares MJ’s vision for offering a fairer deal to traditionally low-paid frontline operatives and she understands the role the FM industry must play in protecting the environment.

Alex Franco Marin
Alex Marin oversees our operations around the UK. He has worked in the FM industry for over 20 years, looking after contracts at Heathrow’s Terminal 2, McClaren, Nestle UK, Waitrose, and Marks and Spencer. He met MJ at AMFM and after she set up Pioneer FM, Alex helped to mobilise the company’s first contracts. Alex has enjoyed playing a vital role in growing the business from a commercial cleaning operation to today’s Full FM service.

Midlands Area Manager
Prior to joining Pioneer FM, Sue was the national contracts manager for a nationwide FM company. She oversaw a portfolio of 240 contracts, as well as looking after supervisors and assisting the sales team. Sue works hard to build good relations with clients and believes it is important to spend time getting to know clients and their locations to see for herself how operations work.
Best thing about working at Pioneer FM: I was with my last company for 21 years and needed to be confident my next employer would be supportive. It was Pioneer’s core values and MJ’s passion for high standards in the industry that lured me here.
Southern Area Manager
Former Household Cavalry senior NCO Bruce Doodney likes to run a tight ship. His attention to detail means our clients receive a standout service. Prior to joining Pioneer FM, he was the cleaning manager at a food processing plant in Kent, ensuring high standards were met throughout the warehouse and offices.
Best thing about working at Pioneer FM: We’re a tight-knit team and everybody helps one another. MJ is always available to speak to, and if I need help or have a problem, it’s sorted out immediately.
As office manager, Aimee bridges the gap between our operations team and the head office. She looks after our processes and has cut our administration so that we can get on with our jobs. Prior to working at Pioneer FM, Aimee ran her own small office cleaning company. She also worked in operations and customer services in the audio-visual industry and was once MJ’s manager. As Pioneer FM grew, MJ headhunted Aimee.
Best thing about working at Pioneer FM: Pioneer has a family feel about it and I love our team. I’ve worked in corporations before and there’s a lot of shoulder sliding and finger pointing. Here, we all chip in and get things done.
Sameer is our numbers wonderkid. An Oxford undergraduate studying a law degree, he joins our accounts team during his university holidays. He has a passion for numbers and a mischievous sense of humour, putting a smile on our faces, and keeping us all in check.
Best thing about working at Pioneer FM: I have been friends with MJ’s son since we were little and when she offered me regular holiday work in the accounts department, I jumped at the chance. MJ also knows my twin brother, but I’m her favourite!
Head of PR
Sam looks after our PR and helps Holly in the marketing department. Sam has 25 years’ experience as a journalist at The Times, Sky News, and a daily regional paper. A stickler for accuracy, these days she’s found sniffing around the office for a newsworthy Pioneer story to post.

Head of Safety, Health, Environment & Quality
Andrew Holdstock, MD of Increase Success, supports our ISO certifications for quality, environmental, health and safety, and IT. As part of our team, he ensures the integrity, effectiveness and compliance of our processes and systems. Andrew brings valuable experience across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK including construction, airports, engineering and manufacturing, and analytical and data processing.
